About Pest Animal Removal Ocala and Our Services:
Nurturing and safeguarding a Florida baby raccoon sometimes turns out to be a little tricky and not so obvious. Have a look at the following for some guidance in this regard.
Smaller babies
Little raccoon babies are prone to cold. Which is always trouble while taking care of it even in the summers. You can keep your Ocala baby raccoon in a normal sized cardboard box and place a soft towel or used warm t-shirt inside the box. Take some uncooked rice and bake them in the microwave oven for a minute. Fill it in a small sack (a sock generally works best). Use hot water from the tap in a small plastic bottle. Placing an electric heating pad under half the box and thermostat set at low will provide your raccoon baby with the best environment.
Larger babies
It is easy to lure larger babies inside a dog or cat crate. You can also keep them in an inverted laundry basket with some weight at its top.
Is the baby raccoon injured?
Following are the signs of an injured baby raccoon:
In case of an injured Florida raccoon baby, immediately inform wildlife rehabilitator without feeding it anything.
Reuniting the raccoon with its mother
It is normal for a Ocala baby raccoon to get departed from its mother. It is best to make the baby meet its mother if not injured. Just like our moms, raccoons are amongst the best mothers and reunite with their babies whenever they get a chance. Placing the box of an orphan raccoon at the place where it was found is a great idea. It can be placed beneath the tree or near the building too.
